Launched in 2018, the Ultimate Lens Hood (ULH) blocks reflections when shooting through glass - from plane windows to aquariums, city skylines to zoo enclosures.

 

Made from soft, flexible silicone, it stretches over the end of any lens and presses gently against glass to create a seal, cutting out glare so your camera captures only what’s beyond the lens.

The ULHpro is the most significant update to the lineup yet - effectively replacing our previous best-seller, the ULHgo. It’s what photographers have been asking for since the beginning: smaller, lighter, easier to use, and now capable of true hands-free shooting thanks to integrated suction cups that grip securely to glass.

You can still use it exactly like previous models - press and shoot - but when you need both hands free, it holds itself in place. And with its more compact, rigid design, setting up your next glare-free shot is faster than ever.

ULHpro stretches to fit a wide range of lenses. Compatibility is based on the physical diameter of the lens barrel, not the focal length. The flexible silicone opening fits lenses from around 55 mm diameter up to large professional lenses over 100 mm. Generally speaking, if your lens accepts a filter thread of 52mm or bigger... the ULHpro will fit! 

Not only will the ULHpro stretch to fit lenses, but it will stretch to fit over traditional rigid hoods, further increasing compatibility with even the smallest of lenses.

A special shoutout goes to José Ramos - because while we’ve been sent hundreds of incredible air-to-air photos over the years, he was the first. The image of him shooting with our original ULH landed in our DMs back in 2019 - and the photo on the right was sent in October 2025.

The ULHpro was designed and engineered in 3D CAD, with prototype tooling produced by our actual manufacturing partner to ensure a seamless transition to full-scale production. We’ve spent months testing different silicone thicknesses and rigidity levels to find the perfect balance of flexibility, grip, and long-term durability.
