In developing the One80 Pouches we poured over reviews to figure out the good and bad of all comparable items. Zippers are the number one breaking point of running belt and fanny packs. Magnets are potentially dangerous to cell phones and velcro often loses its stick after time. So, we set out to find a way to develop the pouches without any of these to improve user experience and convenience.

No one likes sitting on a wallet. It's uncomfortable and annoying

Minimal wallet are great. Better than a large traditional wallet. Yet the problem remains. You have have to keep in a pocket. Do you deal with having it in a back pocket and the bother of sitting on it? Or keep it in a front pocket and contend with the front pocket bulge?

We spent a year trying different ways of making this work and tested hundreds of clip variations. With each rendition removing or adding millimeters at a time and subtle shape modification before finally at what you see today.

Some of first steps were to figure out a pouch or bag system. We went through various types fabrics and materials. Tried velcro, zippers and magnets before ultimately deciding we wanted to simplify the pouch as much as possible and eliminate these different materials; as most of them were leading causes for issues in other bags and belts.

We knew the key to make this concept work would be and effective clip. This proved to be the most difficult part of the building process. After various concepts and the slightest adjustment of 1/2 mm at a time we arrived at the clip we felt accomplished what we had set out to do.

Lots and lots of 3D printing and design lead us to the clips we came to today. Testing each along the way for it's capabilities and function. Our industrial sewing machine and 3D printer got a lot of use during those months.
